Stacy Hurt, a cancer survivor, and healthcare advocate, will be speaking on the ways in which digital health can encourage patients to partake in their treatment and express their opinions.
Stacy Hurt is a patient consultant and healthcare advocate with over 20 years of experience in the health industry and physician practice management. She is one of 10 HIMSS Digital Influencers. Stacy is a stage IV colorectal cancer survivor and a mother/caregiver to her son who has a rare genetic disease. She has been a volunteer as a patient for many organizations, such as The Colon Club, Colon Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society, etc. Stacy participates in cancer awareness and patient advocacy programs on a regular basis. She also works towards the association of pharma/technology companies and healthcare institutions.
